The Municipal Court of Auburn hears and adjudicates traffic offenses and violations of City ordinance that occur within the City limits of Auburn.  Georgia State Patrol traffic offenses that occur within the City limits of Auburn are also subject to the jurisdiction of this court.

Auburn Municipal Court hearings are held the first four Wednesday of every month.  The first and third Wednesday is scheduled arrangements, while the second Wednesday is for scheduled trials. The fourth Wednesday is scheduled strictly for defendants that are under 21. Check in time for all scheduled court sessions is 8:00 a.m. 

To ensure the safety of the public and court officials at all times, all individuals and articles entering the court chambers during court sessions are subject to search.

Most offenses may be paid prior to the scheduled court date.  Citation payments are in the form of  money orders, cash, and by credit card through the online ticket pay.

Citations may be paid online, in person or through the mail.  When paying by mail, you must sign the back of your yellow copy of the citation and enclose it with your payment.  It is not recommended that cash be sent when mailing payments in.

You are eligible for one 2 weeks extension.  This must be done in person do later than 2 days prior to your scheduled court date.

If you fail to appear in court or if your payment does not reach the Municipal Court’s office by the scheduled court date, a warrant may be issued for your arrest and/or your driver’s license may be suspended.
