Police Officer Position
The City of Auburn Police
Department is currently accepting applications
for Sworn Police Officer, or Detective. The city is establishing an
eligibility list for current and future
openings. Applications will gladly be accepted
on an on-going basis.
Starting pay range ($32,779 -
$35,200) commensurate with qualifications and
experience, with good benefits package.
Applicants must meet the
following requirements:

Must be at least
21 years of age and U.S. Citizen who is
physically and mentally able to perform the
essential job functions of the position.

Current Georgia
P.O.S.T. certified Peace Officers, with
valid Georgia Driver’s License and a good
driving record.

Possess a high
school diploma or its recognized equivalent,
a college degree is preferred.

No prior
convictions by any State or by the Federal
Government of any crime the punishment for
which could have been imprisonment in the
Federal or State Prison institution; nor
have been convicted of sufficient
misdemeanors.

All applicants
must be public service oriented, willing to
be assigned shift work, of good moral
character.
Successful candidates will
undergo a oral interview, extensive background
investigation that includes psychological,
polygraph, drug and alcohol screening.
